Have worked and lived in both south bay and SF for many years, I have to say SF is one the most lovely, charming cities in the US. Presidio Height/Pac Height are very family friendly. Not to mention Nob hill, Sunset or oh yes, Golden gate park and the water front.

No, not all SF is foggy, north beach/south beach/mission area in SF have very sunny and nice weather.

Even surprisingly, it does not even need a deep pocket to enjoy it all if you have a curious heart and open mind... Or you can be a tourist for ever w/o knowing what you are talking about
