CCTV Venture-Capital Funded Reality Show Comes to Stanford U/Silicon Valley
ACSSS
CCTV Win in China team, together with the leading Chinese venture-capitalist Xiaoge Xiong (Hugo Shong, CEO of IDG China) and Sina.com North America, generously helped by the ACSSS, will hold an information session to introduce the CCTV Win in China Start-up Competition TV reality show to the Silicon Valley area Chinese students, entrepreneurs and professionals, and explain how venture capital and venture capitalists are changing the business landscape in China today. Through these activities, CCTV hopes that the current and future Chinese entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley area will sign up for the contest, make a splash in China, win the competition and realize their dreams.

It’s a real opportunity. CCTV wants you! Venture capital wants you! The program will be broadcast on CCTV economy channel and overseas, for a total of 8 months, starting from March 28 to December 5, 2006. It seeks out and screens out, worldwide, 5 most dynamic and entrepreneurial finalists of Chinese nationality, where the winner of the first place shall be rewarded with running as its CEO a brand-new company with registered capital of 10 million or more RMB; the winner of the second place with a company of 7 million or more RMB, and winners of 3rd, 4th, and 5th place each with a company of 5 millions or more RMB. They will also be rewarded 20% of the original stock of the new company they run.
