这种情形会继续下去,
China's boom in 1980s is driven by average people's demands,
but not the case in 1990s.
Here is the private consumption/GDP percentage from EIU:
1995: 51.2%
1997: 47.5%
1999: 47.1%
2000: 48%
2002: 46.3%
indicating a widening disparity in individual income.....
Personally I support free unions, democratic system to represent poor people. Because only through them, the poor chinese will not be treated as slaves by CHINESE, and with the protection of their labor rights, come higher income and more demand.
But brother, this demands social policy change which is a catch-22 for current gov......
I lived in Europe for some time and studied carefully their history. Now average Joes there are well-paid, with dignity. While it was not the case at all at the beginning of 20th century......
For US, progressive movement in 1900s was also the factor that improve the life for average Joes...
But I will not dream that in China at least for another 15 years........
中国自己少吃少喝，也要让美国吃得更好玩得更好,还担心哪天主子不想让自己伺候了，自己就得饿死
