1.Locate and evaluate potential new equipment suppliers. This would involve networking and talking with multiple different companies to find a vendor that could meet our needs. A site visit would then be conducted to insure that the vendor has the technical capabilities to satisfy Goodyear's requirements.
2.Lead projects with selected equipment suppliers to clarify equipment design, to perform periodic checks and to perform quality inspections prior to shipment.
3.Participate in the startup of the purchased equipment. This would include working with the plant Engineering team and the supplier to insure the system operates as expected, all documentation is turned over to the plant, and that the equipment meets companys needs
Job Requirement:
1.5 years work experience in a manufacturing company (Tire manufacturing or rubber manufacturing knowledge is a plus)
2.Must have experience reading machine design drawings (machining experience a plus).
3.Must have experience managing multiple responsibilities at the same time.
4.Equipment sourcing experience is a plus.
5.Fluent in Mandarin and English, Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, Experience with AutoCAD (Pro-E is a plus).
6.Must have the ability to manage multiple development projects at the same time.
7.Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time is a must. Purchasing/negotiations knowledge.
8.BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
