Java Performance Tuning Engineer
Candidates who experienced Java reliability/stress/performance testing or development are perfect for this position.
Possible Keywords:
System technologies: HP-UX, Java, JVM, WebLogic, Websphere, HotSpot, J9, JRockit, Oracle, OLAP,OLTP, Oracle Fusion
Tools: JProfiler, LoadRunner, JMeter, JProbe, Jconsole, GCViewer, grinder, jamon, HPJmeter, jvmstat
J2EE technologies: JMX, EJB, Transaction,JIT, Servlet, RMI
Database: Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MySQL
Others: Garbage collection, thread dump, memory leak, cache, jgroup, optimizer
Experience required (MUST):
. 6+ years of software development or Java based performance tuning experience
. 3+ years of hardware related projects experience, especially on enterprise servers, storage systems.
. Have practical experience in Linux, HPUX or any other UNIX
. Experience analyzing and solving scalability problems
. Have practical experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and familiar with QA methodology
. Leading and working with cross-functional teams
. Experienced in multi-nation environment
Experience (Would-like-to-have):
. Experienced any industry standard benchmarks (TPC, SPEC, SAP) is a PLUS
. Experienced Oracle or SAP or some industry performance tuning and benchmarking is a PLUS
. Experienced VMware, Xen, Hyper-V or other virtualization technology is a PLUS
Knowledge required (MUST):
. Knowledge hardware system including server, storage system and I/O subsystem
. Knowledge on software engineering in software development
. Deep knowledge of Java programming at the JVM and native level
. Deep knowledge of C programming at the kernel level
. Solid knowledge of Shell and other scripting languages
. Solid knowledge on Java benchmarking or sizing on different distributions
. Deep knowledge of synchronization primitives and system or middleware scalability problem solving
. Solid knowledge in middleware area
. Knowledge on QA methodology
. Fluent both in written English and in spoken English
