Plot Summary:
After the 8 year combat with Japanese invaders, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) together with various domestic political powers tried to negotiate with the ruling regime - Kuomingtang (or Chinese Nationalist Party) in pursuit of a democratic union government in China. However Kuomingtang had no intention of participating in such a negotiation and therefore lost the support of its people. A final combat, both on and off battlefield, was then inevitable before the founding of a new republic.
