We are looking for a strong commercial buyer for our new sourcing office in Shanghai.
The sourcing office in Shanghai will be a strong front end for our purchasing department at the head office in Europe. We are looking to build a small but strong organization in China to ensure that we always are ahead when looking at sourcing of quality products from China to Europe.
Area of responsibility
You will be responsible for searching the Chinese market for the best suppliers of the products that is chosen to be sourced from China. We expect you to be the connection between the Chinese suppliers and the central purchasing department in Europe. In most cases you will responsible for the whole process from finding the supplier, getting the contract negotiated and afterwards ensuring that the supplier is delivering us as promised. It is important that you are commercially strong and have a good understanding of the importance of finding and ensuring good quality products.
You will be reporting directly to the senior purchasing manager at Head office in Europe
Personal qualifications
We expect that you are a strong commercial buyer with experience from the food industry and knowledge of / proven results from strategic sourcing. We expect you are good at working in projects and that you can work as an important part of the sourcing projects we are running.
You must be able to motivate yourself and keep the projects running according to plan, but most also understand to be part of a team and support his team results.
English at a high level both oral and in writing is an absolute must.
