shanghai to be exact. I was there a week ago. Stayed at an expensive but poorly run hotel (Jin Jian Hotel 1188RMB/night, suppose to be 5 star, but 3 start at most), bad. Had meals at a bunch of restaurants, several of them in those private suites (I don't know how to say it in English). Only one waitress is pretty (渝信川菜). Others are all ok or even ugly looking, courteous? I don't know, not professional or skillful. Some of them are just rude. I took taxis, not comfortable, driving in the road is just a mass. Very noisy, overwhelmingly noisy. The food is ok, only exeptional in a few places. Not cheap. Let me know where I can go to spend at least one day in "heaven" as you have described, Thanks in advance.
